Our dossier has arrived in Ethiopia!

On Its Way!

After a couple of staff reviews and being translated, our dossier has been mailed to Ethiopia! This is our official DTE (dossier to Ethiopia) day and when the official wait begins! Let’s start knocking the days off that calendar : )

T-Ball Game

Annaliese did a great job at her first game today! The coach attempted to pitch the ball to each child five times before giving them the tee to bat from and she hit it both times! She is such a go-getter – I love it!

 

Adoption Update

We received our approval from U.S. Immigration (that one little piece of paper I keep talking about) on Monday. On Tuesday, I took the documents that we needed state certified to the Secretary of State’s office in Springfield. After a few hiccups along the way, I got what we needed to get done there finished. Then on Wednesday, we finally shipped the dossier (all of our paperwork) to AWAA in Virginia. It was supposed to arrive on Monday, but according to the FedEx website, it was delivered this morning!! Not sure how it made it there in less than 24 hours, but so thankful!!

Now the paperwork has to be reviewed by at least two AWAA staff members and then couriered to the Ethiopian Embassy for translation. After that is completed, it will be sent to Ethiopia. We will keep you posted as we learn more : )

Track Clinic

T-Ball

Last Sunday, Annaliese started t-ball practice, but I had forgotten my camera. She had her second practice today. She is doing great : )

 

 

Family Day

Had another great family day at home!

To begin the day, Jonathan and Annaliese let me sleep in and then brought me breakfast in bed : )

Then, Jonathan and Annaliese headed down to the crawlspace to run some wire for a small project. He is so good to let her do things like this with him and she absolutely loves it - she could not believe that this part of the house even existed!

After lunch, Annaliese and I made a surprise strawberry pie for daddy. I have not made more than a few pies since she came home and Jonathan has mentioned (a few times) how pie has sounded good : ) It was fun to show her what we did to help bring her home – 354 times to be exact!

She and daddy then continued work on the mission to get rid of training wheels – and she did it! It was a little emotional watching her accomplish something like this on her own - so proud of this girl!

 

 

Ended the day with a soccer game of our oldest nephew, Josh, and family at our house afterwards for supper. I could really get used to these types of days : )
